6 Word Memoirs

Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in six words. Some say it was his best work, while others say this is a literary fairy tale. Ernest's story:

" For sale: baby shoes, never worn"

Either way, this sparked a fun new project created by Smith Magazine and Twitter. They teamed up to give Hemingway's story a new personal twist by allowing regular people to submit their 6 word memoirs.

The third Schipul goal this year is to "Tell our Story". Before we can think about the story for our company or our product, let's write our own stories. Use this page to jot down your ideas and share your depth with your fellow schipulites.

Once you have something or a few somethings that you love, submit your memoir online and tag it SXSW. Smith Magazine is creating a second book and you could be in it!

Need some ideas? Here are a few pieces of inspiration that we saw at the SXSW conference.

Buy the book too! It's a great read, makes a great gift and only costs $12.00.
