Email Marketing
Connect with your site visitors and members by sending them informative and consistently branded e-newsletters. Our
Tendenci software makes sending out the latest news and site updates to your various mailing lists quick and easy.
- Create your newsletter with your text and graphics or make it easy with automatically generated content
The Tendenci newsletter module allows you to create custom newsletters and emails to send to your Web site members (instructions on newsletter creation here). Type in new text and upload your images for a completely customized email, or save time by selecting automatically generated content from your pre-existing Web site content. Read our online 'Sending Newsletters' tutorial here.
- Fine-tune your mailing group
Send out your e-communications to a handful of people, your board of directors or to your entire organization (plus your Christmas card mailing list, your book club and 50 of your closest friends). It's up to you!
Tendenci makes it easy for you to create new mailing usergroups which ensures that you have complete control over who receives your emails.
- Get some extra mileage out of your newsletter by posting it on your Web site as an article
You can copy and paste your newsletter into a new article to attract additional newsletter readers. This also benefits your members in the long run as it gives them access to historical newsletters that they wouldn't otherwise have access to.
- Be sure to clean up your mailing list
If you're receiving a lot of returned / bounced back emails, do not despair! It isn't unusual to get back up to 25% of the emails you send, due to firewall issues, users changing their email addresses or full inboxes.
You can clean up your database by editing each individual's contact information or by removing them completely from the mailing list.
SPAM IS BAD. SPAM IS EVIL. It is incredibly important that you have permission to send email to your user database members.
Tendenci emails do have handy 'unsubscribe' links automatically placed in the footers of every email, so rest assured that anyone no longer interested in receiving your communications has an easy way of removing themselves from your mailing list. This is a very good thing.
