Adieu to Javier Avellan as he explores new business opportunities

We would like to bid a fond farewell to Javier Avellan,
a member of our Business Development team and Schipul family, as he leaves our
organization to explore new business adventures.

As a company that focuses on knowledge sharing and personal
development, it is always a little bittersweet to see a strong team member leave our staff.
But watching our employees discover themselves and reach for new goals
is a success in itself. We are in
the business of not only building great Web sites, but of growing people – a
focus that Javier took very seriously through his extensive reading, internal
training and public speaking.

Javier will be sorely missed, but the entire Schipul team is
very excited for the new opportunities in his path. He will continue to be a friend and colleague to us all for years to
come and we wish him nothing but great experiences and much success.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this

Asian American Justice Center Latest to Choose Tendenci to Power Web Site

HOUSTON, May 7, 2008 – Schipul – The Web Marketing Company
(www.schipul.com) today
announced that implementation of Tendenci Web marketing software (www.tendenci.com) continues
to accelerate among nonprofit organizations. The Asian American Justice Center
recently launched its new upgraded Web site, www.advancingequality.org,
becoming the latest nonprofit to move to Tendenci’s suite of Web-based
applications.

“Thanks to Tendenci, our new Web site
now reflects the true depth and breadth of our organization as well as the
value we deliver to the Asian American community,” said Leonie
Campbell-Williams, director of communications with the Asian American Justice Center.
“In addition to providing easy access to the information we need to advance our
mission, the new Web site has a clean, attractive look and feel that is
consistent with our other materials.”

Developed and marketed by Schipul –
The Web Marketing Company, Tendenci enables nonprofit organizations to quickly
and cost-effectively upgrade their Web presence and utilize the latest online
tools, such as Really Simple Syndication, events calendars and e-newsletters. Tendenci
also scales as a nonprofit grows. Everything from Quickbooks exports up to
database integration with data centers is integrated into the suite of
Web-based software applications.

Tendenci’s content management system
(CMS) enables the staff of the Asian
American Justice Center
to update Web content quickly and easily without going through a site
administrator. Keeping the site more dynamic makes it more valuable and keeps
visitors coming back more often.

Nonprofit organizations make up
approximately one-third of the nearly 400 Web sites currently powered by
Tendenci.

Dr. Arthur Schipul passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in the Commonwealth of Dominica in the West Indies. He was a loving husband, father, and physician. The terrible void he has left behind him can never be filled. Dr. Schipul was born on January 19, 1938 and grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut. As a teenager he worked as a photographer for the Bridgeport Post before entering the US Marine Corps Reserves in 1956. He married Catherine Anne Gray on October 24, 1959. He went into the U.S. Army as a lab technician and served in France before...

New Tendenci-Based Web Site to Help American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Accelerate Growth

The American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine has updated and upgraded its Web site (www.acaom.edu) using the Tendenci Web marketing software application (www.tendenci.com). The ACAOM is an academic institution that offers degree programs to healthcare practitioners based on the theories, principles, and clinical applications of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

The ACAOM’s Web site serves as an extension of the college to educate the public about TCM and to begin establishing a relationship with prospective students and patients.

“Even though our instruction focuses on a 3,000 year old healthcare system, we know leading edge technologies such as Tendenci can play a major role in educating the public,” said John Paul Liang, M.S., M.S.O.M., the ACAOM’s interim president. “If we can use the Web to teach people about TCM, they will be less likely to fear it and more likely to try it.”

Acupuncture and herbal medicine are a part of a complete medical system used to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses by addressing patterns of imbalance in the body to promote self-healing. Approaching healing from a holistic point of view, Oriental medicine treats the source of the illness, rather than just treating the symptoms.

The ACAOM’s new Web site targets the growing population that is interested in learning about TCM and makes it easy to contact the college. Every page features a contact form to request information. Tendenci’s easy-to-use content management system simplifies the task of keeping the Web site updated with the latest news and information about acupuncture. Additionally, Tendenci’s integrated Really Simple Syndication (RSS) capabilities enable anyone who wants to stay updated on ACAOM programs to subscribe to automatically receive word of site updates as they happen.

In recent years, acupuncture has experienced rapid growth, which has increased demand for education. Currently, approximately 16,000 acupuncturists are practicing in the U.S. and recent surveys suggest that over 20 million Americans have tried acupuncture. The Food and Drug Administration also estimates that Americans spent approximately $500 million per year during the 1990s on acupuncture services.
