As a company we try very hard to hire creative people. Left brain, right brain, both, but they must have creative skills and a sense of curiosity. As a result, we frequently find ourselves running into each other at events for the Arts Community in Houston. So here are a few links if you, like us, want to get more involved with the Arts in Houston!
Backbeat - the unique thing about this music site is that it's both local and international music artists and the content is added/edited by any registered user - fan or artist! Probably the most bookmarked page is the concerts calendar that promotes all of the major music acts coming to town, but if you like live local bands, have a look at the main calendar. Still in public Beta.
WorldFest - Easily one of the most overlooked major events in Houston, the Houston International Film and Video Festival. Usually occurs in the Spring.
Twitter.com - a lot of us are on twitter (like me!), but it doesn't have groups so you just have to join in.
