April Kyle - Internet Geek
April Kyle joined the Schipul team in February 2009 as an Account Executive. She had the privilege of working with such awesome clients as YMCA Houston and Beau Rivage poker, helping them navigate the social media seas. Since June 2009 she has served as Schipul's Operations Manager.April has been on the internet since Al Gore dreamed it up; chatting up a storm in virtual rooms and posting to message boards all over town. She has seen first hand time and again how powerful connections can be built online. Her career has seen her from mortgage banking to the floor of a Las Vegas casino to sitting on her couch live blogging online poker tournaments.
Her personal brand is a bit of a contradiction. The name "thisisnotapril" was a gift from her friend @bobbybracelet. In order to distinguish her from another April in their group of friends, he mashed up her blog name with her name. And a new identity was born.
April holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas. At least the English minor gets use!
When traveling, April insists on visiting any local aquariums. There she can be found pressed up against the glass of the shark tank.
April believes in naming her "i" devices. Her iPod is named Steve, currently version 2.1. Her iPhone is named Wendine (still on version 1.0, knock on wood). These are the only devices she names - it would just be silly to name anything else!
If it was legal to marry a building, April would marry the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. But it's not. Not even in Nevada.
April loves music. Really LOVES music. Her computer desktop is constantly littered with mp3s for review, she is incredibly picky about what makes it on Steve 2.1, and is always pushing her musician friends to use more social media.
April is the primary custodian for Todd Todderson, a little yellow man who travels the world more than anyone you know. He's the web 2.0 Flat Stanley and is awesome.
April is a sucker for anything in blue. Blue car, blue laptop, blue bag (with matching blue shoes of course), and drinks only Bud Light at Astros games since it comes in the cool blue bottle.
Speaking of which, April is a wee bit of a baseball fanatic. Take her to a game and you've got a friend for life. Take her in your Mustang Cobra or Shelby GT and you've got a stalker.
